Senior Manager of External Affairs and Sustainability | Unilever

Stefani Millie Grant is Head of External Affairs for Unilever, a food and personal care products manufacturing company. In her role, she liaises with federal, state and local elected officials on issues of importance to Unilever including climate change, packaging, ingredients and agriculture. Ms. Grant also works with NGOs on Unilever’s sustainability efforts; and advises and assists brands with implementation of brand purposes, such as the CROWN Act and reducing consumer food waste.

Ms. Grant also works with brands; procurement; suppliers; and farmers to design and implement Unilever’s sustainable and regenerative sourcing programs in the U.S. and Canada. As part of this work, Ms. Grant served two terms (2016-2020) as Chair of Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture. She also served as Co-Chair of the Midwest Row Crop Collaborative (2020-2022), an organization whose mission is to test and demonstrate solutions for removing barriers to adoption of good farming practices that can viably benefit the environment, using science-based approaches for systems change.

In 2020, Ms. Grant helped lead Unilever’s U.S. external response to the COVID pandemic. As part of the United for America team, she helped planned and execute the company’s first annual Day of Service. Ms. Grant also coordinated the donation of over $25 million in products and services to organization such as Feeding America, Direct Relief, Kids in Need, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Prior to working for Unilever, Ms. Grant was a Vice President with Stateside Associates, a consulting firm in Arlington, Virginia, where she worked on environmental, agricultural and conservation issues for Fortune 500 companies, trade associations and the Department of Defense. An Iowa native, Ms. Grant holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Public Administration from Buena Vista University.
